Rise is excited to welcome Noshin to our team! As policy coordinator, Noshin will support Rise’s shift to community organizing to reverse NYC’s over-investment in family policing and under-investment in communities.
The program ran from February through June 2021 and is by and for parents directly impacted by the family policing system. In Rise & Shine, parents built a strong foundation for advocacy and leadership in their communities.
The Core program ran from February through June 2021 and provided training for newly-hired Parent Advocates working at Graham and Rising Ground in NYC.

Rise is building a peer care network that can strengthen families while reducing contact with the family policing system. Rise seeks to do this work collaboratively in New York City in partnership with other community-led organizations, beginning with communities most impacted by ACS (Administration for Children’s Services).
