Her passion, ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, and visionary leadership in lifting up the voices of impacted parents is unparalleled, and we know she will effectively lead Rise to its next chapter. | “WOW, what a journey it has been for me in my career. I am feeling honored, humbled, and thrilled to be announced Rise’s Executive Director. As a parent who was impacted personally, have been working with parents, and advocating for Parent Leadership for the last 20 years, it is exciting for me to be leading an organization as powerful as Rise. We have experienced some growing pains but nonetheless, we are building ourselves to be stronger than ever. We will take time this year under new leadership to create space to be ourselves and envision Rise’s future together as a team. We have done such amazing work, and I’m inspired by all the parents. Working with all these incredible parents, mothers, women and people has helped me grow into my role of Executive Director. When I first became a parent advocate, all I ever wanted was to find ways to support parents directly and at Rise, I have been able to do that and more. My story is a reflection that we can do anything when we put our time, passion and energy into it. Rise has always been my dream job and with the grace of God, my husband’s incredible support, and my team at Rise, we have made this dream a reality. I thank you all for your confidence in my leadership and all the continued support I receive from not just my Rise team but my Board, partners, funders, allies, and friends of Rise.
