Celebrate Parent Advocates’ completion of the Rise CORE Training Program!

Rise’s Winter 2022 CORE cohort ran from February through May and provided training for impacted parents working as Parent Advocates in NYC foster agencies. The training series covered topics including Rise visiting and service planning TIPS, the Rise 90-day model to support reunification, relationship building, parents’ legal rights, toxic stress, community organizing, legislative advocacy and the history of child welfare. The program also included community building, an introduction to restorative justice practices, writing and public speaking workshops and additional training opportunities. 

Graduation will be held via Zoom.
